Cat Grooming

I am a specialist cat groomer/lover specializing in the removal of matted/knotted hair from long and short-haired cats. Also lion clips, kitten trims, total brush-outs and baths. I adore cats and adore grooming them and making them feel better. Nothing gives me more pleasure than doing this very skilled and enjoyable job!

All cat grooms include nail trimming and ear cleaning. Each and every cat as we all know is different in personality. What one cat will allow, another will not.

I attempt any cat for grooming, but if I feel that cat is stressed or turns aggressive and cannot be handled, the best solution is sedation by your own vets.

'Chico clip' which is like lion clip but with cute skirt!

We do 'lion clips' for Persian and long-haired cats that are badly matted, or just need a haircut. Lion clips look good all year round and cats feel very comfortable in them. If you are worried about them feeling cold, we have a fine range of T-shirts and hoodys available. The 'lion clip' is a close shave of the entire body, leaving a mane, furry boots and a half shaved lion tail. Very cute! Our rescue Persian cat Chico stays in a lion clip as he is so cute in it and he is happier for it too! A vet charges £150-200 for one and does a very bad job of it and they use anaesthetic.

These two ragdolls come in once a month for a bath/blow dry and brush

This is Lotti, she is an 18 year old delightful cat that comes for a bath and blow dry and brush-out every 8 weeks. She purrs and just loves being groomed and fussed over!

We have many clients who claim that since we clip their cats regularly, they have become friendlier, so they book them in every 8-12 weeks for their 'lion clip'.

If you do not want your cat completely shaved, we can just shave out the matts and brush out the rest of the coat. We also do just brush-outs of dead loose hair for short and long-haired cats.

This is Betty, a tortie Persian. She comes regularly for her lion clip and a T-shirt!

We know how to handle even the most difficult cats and do not sedate them. We can also bath cats if required and hand dry them. With every groom their ears are cleaned and nails are trimmed short. We do not cut out matts with scissors, we only shave them out as it's the safest way to remove them. Cat's skin is very delicate and moves around like chicken's skin, which can make it easy to cut. We are professionally trained to groom cats in a way that is least likely to hurt your animal.

Every once and a while we encounter a cat who is too difficult for us to handle and groom, in the event this happens, we would refer you to a veterinarian who could sedate and groom your cat more safely and successfully.
